The Bobcat word for this week is DETERMINED.  DETERMINED means to give direction, to cause, or to decide.  I DETERMINED this would be a good example sentence.

School Counseling
Our Mission:

The Counseling Department at Beville Middle School will enhance student’s potential for life-long success. By integrating the goals and objectives of the Prince William County Counseling Curriculum, Counselors will assist students with developing career and educational skills. The Beville Middle School Counseling Department believes that by integrating the curriculum into other subject areas, students will be successful in transferring the classroom learning to their everyday lives.

Our Beliefs/Philosophy:

It is our belief that all students have the ability to achieve regardless of their background. It is the Counseling Departments goal to find creative ways for all students to achieve academically, socially, and with career development.

The Beville Middle School Counselors will provide individual and group counseling to the students, as well as conduct classroom presentations, in order to facilitate the development of skills necessary to become productive and successful citizens. Counselors will also communicate with parents and faculty to help the students achieve personal and academic success, and career development.

The program will be reassessed annually to reflect changes in counseling research and societal needs. Counselors will comply with Prince William County’s ethical model and the ASCA model. It is the vision of the Counseling Department that our students will use the knowledge gained through the counseling curriculum and apply it to their future experiences.
